Balance Wanted!
In my life and in leadership it is so important to learn Balance. It is a difficult and arduous process trying to figure out what needs to be done now, what can wait and what doesn’t even matter. I am the type of person who believes that if you want it done right do it yourself, but that mindset has gotten me in a place where I feel like I am not getting things done do to the amount of responsibilities that I now have taken on. I am in need of balance…
What I need and what we all need is a plan. You have heard it….but here I go again “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. This is so true in my circumstances.
So here are questions for you Leaders:
1. What needs to be done now?
2. What can be done later?
3. What is a waste of your time?
4. What is hurting your family?
5. How can others grow if you can’t let go?
6. Where do you need to stop and admit fault and grow in maturity?
I hope this helps you this crazy time of year……
A Fresh Coat of Paint
It all Starts Here….. At this point we are a fresh canvas, our minds have not been washed yet. This canvas can become anything from Van Gogh’s Starry Night to a Bob Ross’ Happy Trees. We can be anything, the future is limitless, but so many times people have chosen to become comfortable and hide their unique beauty to settle to be a copy. I call this the Lithograph life. A Lithograph is a copy of an original masterpiece. You see theses all over peoples homes and businesses because they can not afford the real, the original. Will we have a number, 1 out of 1000. Never the original, never the one with priceless value. So Stop and think…. What journey will you choose today? Will you chose to take a risk and be invaluable or will we chose to get in line with the rest of the world hoping for a different outcome?
One More Day
2 Peter 3:9&15 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness; but is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
15 And count the patience of our Lord as Salvation
I have read this verse and memorized it as a child for Vacation Bible School so that I could get the most stars in class. I studied this texted in college but it never really spoke to me as it has lately. I thought that this was a verse about answering prayers, but it’s not. This patience that the apostle Peter is writing about is the coming of the Lord.
We might hear so many people talk about the coming of the Lord as a good thing, but is it? Really ask yourself this question. Are you so sure that you are going to be excited when Jesus comes back?
I was thinking about my own life and how sad I would be if Jesus came back today. I still have so much to do and accomplished. I am not okay with who and am and what I have done for the glory of God. Their are so many people that still need the revelation and the revolution of the gospel to take over their lives. I have friends and I have family (My Parents) that are far from God and does not know Jesus Christ as true Lord, Savior and Coming King. I am not ready for the return of Jesus. I pray God please give us one more day.
One more day to live right. One more day to speak to my neighbor. One more day to prepare a message to pierce the heart of all those who hear the about Jesus. One more day to live as loud and as bold as I can so that people would find Christ. One more day to feed the hungry and to meet the needs of the needy. Are you ready for this day?
Today is our “One More Day”. Don’t waste it. Count the patience of our Lord as Salvation because today might be our last..
We have one day….. Make it Count….
It all Begins Here. Most people have great talents and ideas but they all end up in the grave because they never took the chance to share with others what they love. Most of our greatness stays hidden because we are so scared that some people might not like it, but the truth is who cares because people won’t like it. That is the truth of life…if you try to please everyone wait for the perfect moment, you will never find it….. So I say sing it loud and proud
God is my Witness
You had heard the sang “God is my witness”….and more than ever before it rang out to me how true this statement real is. Like it or not, God IS your witness. He sees what you do, say and proclaim by the life that you live. But he is not like people who you can play and fool. He sees the intentions of our heart (1 Thess 2:4). Sometimes we even try to fool ourselves to justify actions or the constant life choices that we make but God plays no fool what ever a man sows he will reap.(Gal 6:7). So today live your life as if God is watching and sitting in the passenger seat because He’s there.
Mary…….
I was sitting in service watching these ladies worship in front of me. I mean these ladies were wild and crazy and unrefined….It made me laugh so I just watched them to make sure they don’t get out of control. This is when God spoke to me, He said “Mary”. Mary in the Bible was the prostitute that praised God when she poured the costly perfume and washed Jesus’ feet with her hair. It was out of the ordinary it was all she could think of to let Jesus know how much He meant to her. She took something from her past that was costly and broke it and poured it on to her Lord.
I pray we never get so caught up in church that we forget why we have church. Church is not for people inside these wall….This building is here for the people who are not here.
Day 5: there are still tons of rocks in my drive way. Pray to the Lord of the Rocks to send more laborers. The Rocks are plentiful but the workers are few
